Introducing Account Alerts!
Monitor your account activity when it happens

Account Alerts are special e-mail or text messages that notify you when specific activities or transactions occur on your Spokane Federal Credit Union accounts. They can be sent to up to 2 e-mail addresses, including your mobile phone and can be configured on all or just one of your SFCU accounts.

Here are some good reasons to use the Account Alerts:
• Gain extra security by monitoring account activity frequently
• Learn about a joint owner's activity when it happens
• Know when a deposit is made to your account
• Set up personal reminders
• Keep tabs on your account balance

Account Alerts FAQs

1. What are Account Alerts?
The Account Alerts service monitors your SFCU accounts and notifies you via email or text whenever a specified transaction or action takes place on your account. You must be signed up for Home Banking to use Account Alerts.

2. What kind of alerts can I add?
You can set up an alert to notify you when any of the following events occur:
• Deposit.
• Withdrawal over a specified amount.
• Account balance change in the amount you specify.
• On the date you request with a custom message or reminder of your own.
You can choose to use one type of alert or all of them and you can establish them on one or more of your accounts.

3. How much do Account Alerts cost?
The Account Alerts service is free, however, you may request and receive text messages concerning your accounts on any text-enabled cell phone. It is your responsibility to determine if your cell phone service provider supports text messaging and your telephone is capable of receiving text messages. The credit union's Account Alerts are subject to any of the terms and conditions of your agreement(s) with your cell phone carrier. You are responsible for any fees imposed by your cell phone service provider even if your use of the Account Alerts service causes those fees to change.

4. How do I begin using Alerts?
From within Home Banking, click on Options, then Account Alerts. Click on “Click here to add new alerts or reminders.” From there you can select a category and input the appropriate information.

5. Do I need an email address to use alerts?
Yes, you will need to provide at least one valid email address to use alerts. Please enter your address carefully as alerts will fail if your email address is invalid. If you are using a spam filter or blocker, please enable it to receive emails from accountalerts@spokanefederal.com by adding it to your address book.

6. Can I send alerts to more than one email address?
Yes, you can establish up to 2 email addresses and then choose to send specific alerts to any or all of them.

7. Can I send alerts to my cell phone or Blackberry?
Yes, you can send alerts to any mobile device or cell phone that has a valid email address. If you receive text messages on your cell phone, you may be able to use your phone number followed by the domain name provided by your cellular carrier for text messaging. For example, Verizon uses the domain vtext.com, so your email address would be yourphonenumber@vtext.com. Sprint uses the domain messaging.sprintpcs.com. AT&T uses the domain txt.att.net. Alltel uses message.alltel.com. If you are unsure about your e-mail address or e-mail / texting function on your cell phone or mobile device, please contact your mobile or cell phone provider for additional information. Be aware that alerts by text or e-mail are subject to fees charged by your mobile provider.

8. How often are alerts sent?
The Alerts Service monitors your account and attempts to send resulting alerts approximately every 20 minutes. Please be aware that alerts can be delayed or disrupted for many reasons, including technical difficulties with your Internet service provider or wireless communications carrier.
